CR Early Intervention Program

CR EIP Staff

Welcome to CR Early Intervention Program
(CR EIP)

Let Them Be Little...

CR EIP is a program designed to serve the districts' youngest students with special education needs. Students enrolled in the program prepare for kindergarten and beyond by learning school readiness skills, further developing their social skills and problem solving abilities, as well as becoming more independent.

Students with special needs may be referred to our program in a number of ways, including referrals from pediatricians, childcare providers, and parents. Once a child has been referred for an evaluation, the parent or guardian will need to provide required documents such as the child’s birth certificate, proof of residency, parent / guardian photo ID, and any applicable medical documentation. Once the appropriate documentation has been received, a formal evaluation will be scheduled.

To begin the referral process, please complete the EIP  Referral  Form. You can fax the completed referral form to (302) 697-4060, send the referral form through the mail to:

ATTN: Linda Davis

Or, stop by the EIP Main Office between 8:00 and 3:30 Monday through Friday and drop the form off in person. If you have any questions about the process or referral form, please feel free to contact the Program Coordinator, Linda Davis, at (302) 697-4145.

Finally, CR does enroll several 4-year-old tuition-paying students per year into the Pre-K classes that do not have delays in their development. These students serve as “peer models” in the classroom and help create a rich learning environment. The number of peer models accepted into the program is directly related to the number of special education students that we serve. Therefore, each spring we conduct a lottery to fill the open slots in our program. If you are interested in your child being a part of our peer model program, please complete the EIP Peer Role Model Request Form.

You can return the completed form to the EIP Main Office between 8:00 and 3:30 Monday through Friday. If you have any questions about the process or referral form, please feel free to contact the school secretary at (302) 697-6117.
