Mrs. Darisa Everett - Principal

Thank you for visiting the Star Hill webpage.  My name is Darisa Everett and I have the pleasure of being the Principal here at Star Hill Elementary.  I have been an educator for 22 years.  I started my career in South Florida and moved to Delaware in 2003 where I began teaching here, at Star Hill Elementary. I have worked in the Caesar Rodney School District for 18 years and of those, 9 years I have been a school administrator.  I jumped at the opportunity to return to Star Hill as its Principal and I have felt at home since the day I walked through the doors.  It is my charge to make every student and staff feel welcomed, loved and nurtured at our school. 

Our school Mission Statement is:  Star Hill Elementary School creates an environment where staff and families work together to provide learning opportunities where everyone is known and valued, and where differing needs are acknowledged, accepted and met.  Through developing a sense of responsibility and nurturing one’s own social emotional well-being, students will be empowered to make a life –long positive impact in their community.
